Lose Your Stomach With These Waist Exercises

The most common waist exercises that most people will do are the sit up and the crunch. While these types of waist exercises can be effective up to a point, they certainly are not the most productive stomach exercises to do.

You can get a really effective workout with an exercise ball. You will have to be careful initially as it can be hard to balance, but with a bit of practice you should master this without any problems.

Seat yourself on the ball and place your hands on the side. Then lean backwards and raise the legs. Balancing on the ball properly may take a while. The less used muscles of the stomach get a workout as they help with the balance.

Performing this exercise on the floor would not bring the stabiliser muscles into play. Begin to move the legs as if you pedalling a bicycle. Once you have got the hang of this, you can take your hands off the ball and stretch your arms in front of you, this gives your abs a great workout and is a really effective waist exercise.

The next exercise will be like a normal crunch but also done with the use of an exercise ball. In this exercise you will sit on the ball and place your hands on your chest. The difference to a standard crunch will be that instead of pushing your torso forward, you will take your legs up to the torso. So lean back a little and try to bring your knees as close to your chest as possible.

It would be the job of the stabiliser muscles to help you to balance properly. Do this exercise slowly, and it won’t be long before your abdominals start burning.

The thing to keep in mind is that you need to do waist exercises that are going to target different areas of the stomach. Doing this will ensure that your entire stomach area gets a good workout, and this will result in a far superior mid-section compared to just doing normal crunches and sit ups.

You can really hit your abdominal muscles hard with just these 2 waist exercises, but you should use a variety of exercises. However there are lots of different waist exercises which you can use for getting abs fast.
